Patch Name | pot_0 | pot_1 | pot_2 | feedback | wet only | Notes: |
The column "Wet only"
simply indicates whether an effect was designed to work as wet only. This is mainly because in certain situations if you have a processed and unprocessed signal mixed together that are too close there is a strange phasing effect happening. Despite this there is no harm in adding dry signal anyway if you like the results :-) |

Delays | ||||||
tape loop (a loop that can be slowed down or sped up, the length of the loop can be shortened to tiny bits, can feedback into itself) |
loop | tape speed | tape length | feedback | n | loop
knob : left half = continuously recording audio input and playing it back according to tape speed and length right half = stops recording input and loops the last recorded sample infinitely tape length : reducing it to the smallest settings can create glitchy artifacts, flanger-like sounds and other weird stuff, is interactive with tape speed |
verbolay (a blend of delay and reverb plus filtered feedback) |
delay | reverb | tone | feedback | n | pot_1 goes from fully delay ccw to fully reverb cw |
pitch
verbolay (a blend of delay and reverb plus endless detuned ascending or descending feedback) |
delay | reverb | pitch | feedback | n | pot_1 goes from fully delay ccw to fully reverb cw pitch goes down ccw and up cw |
particolay (delay with feedback chopped up in grains whose size you can define) |
particle rate | delay | particle length | feedback | n
ringolay (delay with feedback going through a ring modulator) |
ring mod rate | delay | ring mod blend | feedback | n
pitcholay (delay with feedback going through a pitch shifter) |
pitch | delay | tone | feedback | n
aliaserolay (delay with feedback going through an aliaser) |
aliaser | delay | aliaser blend | feedback | n
analog(-ey) mod delay (analog sounding delay with filtered and modulated feedback) |
delay | mod rate | mod width | feedback | n
Loopy, samply, freezy stuff
hold
(latching) (hold a bit of audio indefinitely, well almost) |
hold (tap) | level | tone | nothing | n | leave the pot_0 mode on either
pot or exp and the actual pot_0 set below half (best used with the Molecular Disruption Device as the Compactor lacks the dedicated footswitch) |
hold
(momentary) (same sound as latching but momentary) |
hold (tap) | level | tone | nothing | n | leave the pot_0 mode on either
pot or exp and the actual pot_0 set below
maximum (best used with the Molecular Disruption Device as the Compactor lacks the dedicated footswitch) |
envoloop
vibrato (endless repeating delay loops are envelope triggered and run through a vibrato) |
sensitivity | delay time | vibrato rate | decay | n | sensitivity: CCW it lets every new signal into the loop and fades a portion of the previous loop out. If no additional signal is played it loops infinitely. As you turn the knob clockwise it lets less of the signal into the loop until when fully CW, the signal is looped infinitely. delay time: defines the length of the looped sample. On very short setttings, the loop will fade out faster. vibrato rate: applies vibrato to the looped samples decay: fully CW the lamples can loop infinitely (well almost). As you dial back the loop will fade out quicker |
envoloop
reverb (endless repeating delay loops are envelope triggered and run through a reverb) |
sensitivity | delay time | decay | dry reverb | n | sensitivity: CCW it lets every new signal into the loop and fades a portion of the previous loop out. If no additional signal is played it loops infinitely. As you turn the knob clockwise it lets less of the signal into the loop until when fully CW, the signal is looped infinitely. delay time: defines the length of the looped sample. On very short setttings, the loop will fade out faster. decay: fully CW the lamples can loop infinitely (well almost). As you dial back the loop will fade out quicker dry reverb: applies reverb to the non-looped signal, so that if you hold a loop and max out sensitivity, you can play over the loop with some added reverb if needed |
Glitchy, noisy, random stuff
glitcholay (sample size randomly changing plus lots of interdependent randomness, can feedback on itself) |
rate 1 | sample size | randomness | feedback | n | pot_0 controls how often the signal will begin to loop. pot_1 defines the length of the samples being looped. pot_2 will gradually introduce randomness to the rate and sample size as you turn CW. |
pitch-glitcholay (similar to glitcholay but you can octave up the feedback) |
feedback | rate | octave blend | nothing | n | pot_0 feeds the signal back to itself in random bursts pot_1 defines how often the sample size changes pot_2 adds an octave up to the feedback I like to leave the param_1 mode on either pot 1 or exp 1 and occasionally step on the tap switch for some extreme glitchiness :-) |
pitch step
glider (sample&hold modulated pitch shifter with discreet steps or glissando, can feedback on itself) |
rate | pitch depth | glide | feedback | n | glide: CCW will be clean random steps, as you turn CW the
transitions from one step to the other will gradually glide more, until no more steps are audible but a wobbly random LFO |
pitch square
lfo (pitch shifter modulated by a square LFO whose rate can be randomized, can feedback on itself) |
rate | pitch depth | randomness | feedback | n
Modulation | ||||||
flanger
barberpole TZF ring (an endlessly descending or ascending flanger, capable of going through zero, feedback running through a ring modulator) |
rate/direction | through-zeroness | ringmod mix/rate | feedback | y | pot_0 sets the direction of the barberpole sweep and its rate.
Right in the middle there is no sweep. As you turn CCW the sweep gets faster and downward. As you turn CW the sweep gets faster and upward. pot_1 flanges closer to zero as you turn CW pot_2 introduces ringmodulation (to the feedback only) careful on the amount of feedback on some settings :-) |
granpa’s vinyl (add vinyl crackle, noise, pitch warp and frequency bandwidth loss to your sound) |
rate | pitch warp | filter | noise & crackle | n
ring
pitchulator (ring modulator and pitch shifter, can feedback on itself) |
ring mod rate | pitch blend | pitch | feedback | n
dynamic
vibrato (vibrato whose rate can be envelope controlled, also does a convincing rotary speaker thing if blended with dry signal) |
rate | depth | randomness | envelope | n | randomness goes from sine modulation ccw to random steps cw envelope sets how much the guitar signal will affect the rate |
dynamic
phaser (phaser whose rate can be envelope controlled) |
rate | depth | regeneration | envelope | y | envelope sets how much the guitar signal will affect the rate |
